Built for heavy-duty commercial use, the Buyers Products SaltDogg® Electric Stainless Hopper Spreader with Auger delivers reliable, low-maintenance performance for deicing operations. Available in 7-ft and 8-ft lengths to fit most pickup trucks, it spreads bulk salt or a 50/50 salt/sand mix with ease.
The electric drive eliminates refueling and engine servicing, ensuring quiet operation and reduced upkeep. A fully welded 304 stainless steel hopper and frame provide long-lasting, corrosion-resistant durability.
A 5-1/4-inch full-length steel variable-pitch auger housed in a stainless steel trough powers high-speed material flow. The auger is driven by an independent 3/4 HP, 12V gear motor, while a separate 1/2 HP motor powers the six-fin, 14-inch poly spinner to broadcast material from 5 to 30 feet. The stainless steel chute swings away for easy cleaning, storage, and bulk unloading.
Inside the cab, an intuitive controller allows independent adjustment of spinner and conveyor speeds for precise material control. The spreader comes equipped with a top screen, stainless steel inverted V, tie-down kit, and a 200-lb vibrator.
